At the request of the Audi AG Service Center in Neckarsulm, the side panel of an Audi TT was repaired. A good opportunity,
to demonstrate the performance of the new AluRepair system to the Indian distributors of the Miracle system, Dentmasters.
The 2 cm deep damage on this TT Cabriolet means - without AluRepair - a safe replacement of the side panel. Although the time target here is approx. 6.8 hours, every repairer knows that this is a "mission impossible" and that 12+ hours are required.
Equipped with the Miracle adhesive kit, the Alurepair system and two AiroPower pneumatic presses, our trainer Richard Wolfrum was able to complete the repair in just over two hours. The spectators were surprised at how much traction can be applied to the adhesive pads.
In tests, we have measured 400 - 500 kg on each 4-pad. The bodywork staff and engineers at Audi were delighted with the process and the result of the repair. The deviation of the finish from the removed contour on the undamaged opposite side was only 0.2 mm.
